History

Welcome to an ISO 9001:2008 certified premium school, Air Force School Hebbal has a long tradition of service and progress in the field of education spanning to more than three decades.

The School was started initially as a ‘Nursery School’ in 1958-59 at the HQTC, IAF. In June 1965.

-  The Primary classes of the School were handed over to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan to form the K.V. Hebbal, while the Nursery Section remained with the IAF.

-  The inability of the Kendriya Vidyalaya to accommodate all the children of the Serving IAF Personnel, spurred the formation of the Air Force School in 1977-78.

-    The School started expanding over the years up to its current status of Class XII.

-  The School mainly caters to the educational requirements of children of personnel working in the Air Force HQTC(Unit) and its lodger units.

-    However, the children of other personnel are also admitted subject to availability of seats and fulfilment of criteria for admission. AFSH is the only Senior Secondary School under the Training Command.

The School has lower and Upper KG in the Nursery Section. Standard I to V in the Primary Section, VI to X in the Secondary Section and Standard XI and XII in the Higher Secondary Section, with Science and the Commerce streams.
